There is something special about farmers market season.
Maybe it is seeing fresh produce start showing up after a long Minnesota winter. Maybe it is visiting with familiar faces each week. Maybe it is discovering something new to take home for dinner or watching kids light up when they pick out their own fruits and vegetables.
Whatever brings you to the market, we are excited to welcome everyone back for another season at the Worthington Farmers Market.
The Farmers Market is more than a place to shop. It is a place where local food, small businesses, agriculture, and community come together.
This season we are excited to continue bringing fresh foods, baked goods, handcrafted items, plants, and more directly from local vendors to our community. Every purchase supports small businesses and helps strengthen our local economy while creating opportunities for growers, makers, and entrepreneurs.

SNAP Benefits Accepted Beginning June 16
Shoppers using SNAP benefits can purchase eligible foods at participating vendors, helping stretch grocery dollars while supporting local producers.
SNAP benefits and token programs will begin June 16 for the season.
PoPs Program (Power of Produce) Beginning June 16
Kids can participate in our popular Power of Produce program beginning June 16, encouraging children to try fresh fruits and vegetables while learning healthy habits and connecting with where food comes from.
Children’s Activities
We are also expanding children’s activities throughout the season, creating even more opportunities for families to learn, play, and enjoy the market together.
The Market Grows Throughout The Season
One thing to know about farmers markets is that they naturally grow and evolve as the season moves forward.
Opening day often looks different than mid July, and mid July looks different than September harvest season.
Some of our vendors specialize in fresh produce, and depending on weather and growing conditions, those products may not be ready right away. Early season shoppers may see fewer produce vendors initially, but do not worry, the market builds throughout the summer as gardens grow and harvest season arrives.
That does not mean opening day will be empty.
Many vendors will be joining us right away with baked goods, canned goods, handmade items, plants, specialty foods, and other locally produced products to help kick off another great season.
Every week brings something a little different, which is part of what makes farmers markets special.
Visit early. Visit often. You may discover something new each time.
Meet Your Local Vendors
One of the best parts of every market season is getting to know the people behind the products.
Over the coming months, we will introduce you to vendors, share stories from local growers and makers, offer recipes and food ideas, highlight what is in season, and provide gardening tips, market updates, and behind the scenes looks at what it takes to make a farmers market happen.
Because the Farmers Market is not just about buying local.
It is about building community.
It is conversations between neighbors. It is supporting entrepreneurs trying something new. It is helping children connect food to farms. It is creating opportunities for people to gather, learn, and grow together.
