The Sports & Recreation Committee of FORWARD Worthington is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life in the Worthington area through active living, community involvement, and support for athletic and recreational opportunities.
Funding for Local Sports Initiatives
Our mission is to promote, support, and strengthen sports and recreation programs that encourage participation, foster community pride, and attract visitors to our region. The committee helps fund local sports initiatives by providing financial support, sponsorships, and grants to area programs, organizations, and events that enrich recreational offerings for residents of all ages.
To sustain this mission, the committee also hosts its own fundraising events, including signature community races, tournaments, and activities, to generate resources that are reinvested back into local sports and recreation projects.
By partnering with schools, local organizations, and community volunteers, the Sports & Recreation Committee plays a vital role in advancing FORWARD Worthington’s mission to Support • Grow • Wander, building a stronger, healthier, and more active community.
