Throughout the year, FORWARD Worthington and the organizations we partner with offer opportunities to sponsor events and activities. These opportunities are great ways to show your support not only for the organizations and events themselves but for the community and region as a whole.
FORWARD Worthington’s Salute to Women Banquet
This is an annual event in the Spring that celebrates women in the Worthington area that go above and beyond in their careers and community. This can be through volunteering their time and talents, some while raising a family! The event is capped with the presentation of the annual Inspirational Woman Award.
FORWARD Worthington’s Extravaganza!
This event serves as the Annual Meeting for the membership of FORWARD Worthington. Awards for Friend of Education, Hospitality, and Community Service are awarded as well as comments from the Executive Director, outgoing Board Chairperson, and incoming Board Chairperson. The evening’s business is wrapped up with some form of entertainment.
Worthington Farmer’s Market
FORWARD Worthington serves as the administrative hub for the Farmer’s Market and Street Market in Worthington. Fees collected from vendors are invested back into the program. The Farmer’s Market runs from June to October. Tuesdays are located at the Downtown Worthington Pavilion at 2nd Avenue and 10th Street. Saturdays are located at the Schwalbach Ace Hardware parking lot at 1131 Oxford Street.
Tinsel & Tidings
Tinsel and Tidings event is a festive community celebration that captures the spirit of the holiday season. Featuring twinkling lights, live music, and family-friendly activities, the event offers something for everyone. Guests can enjoy holiday treats, take photos with Santa, and connect with neighbors in a warm, cheerful atmosphere. Tinsel and Tidings is the perfect way to kick off the holidays and create lasting memories.
VIBE @ 5
VIBE @ 5 (Very Important Business Event) is FORWARD’s signature after-work networking series. Rotating among host businesses, this casual gathering brings together local professionals to connect, tour facilities, and learn about community projects. It’s an ideal opportunity to grow your network and showcase your organization.
Topics @ 12
Topics @ 12 is a midday discussion series where experts, community leaders, and businesses present on relevant issues over lunch. Whether it’s workforce development, healthcare, entrepreneurship, or business growth, Topics @ 12 offers accessible insights and engagement for busy professionals.
State of the Region
At State of the Region, community leaders, business owners, and residents gather to hear the latest updates, trends, and visions shaping Worthington’s and Nobles County's future. This event provides a platform for transparency, regional collaboration, and strategic insight—connecting stakeholders to chart the area's next chapter.
Farm to Table
Celebrate Worthington’s agricultural roots at Farm to Table, a signature summer fundraiser hosted by the Agribusiness Committee of FORWARD Worthington. This open-street, picnic-style dinner spotlights locally grown ingredients while bringing community members together over a shared meal. Proceeds support scholarships for high school graduates pursuing agriculture or bioscience fields.
Sassy Saturday
Showcase the best of Worthington’s retail and local businesses during Sassy Saturday, an annual ladies’ shopping event organized by the Retail Committee. Participants drive through a fashion show, receive goodie bags, and unlock special deals in stores across town. It’s a festive day of community, style, and small-business support.
Capital Conversations
Capital Conversations brings together public officials and community advocates for a discussion on infrastructure, funding, and policy priorities. This event fosters informed dialogue on what is happening at the capital keeping our region responsive, strategic, and forward-looking.
Santa Stash
Santa Stash is a month-long holiday shopping promotion that rewards you for shopping local! For every $20 spent at participating businesses, shoppers earn a punch on their card. Filled cards can be entered for a grand prize drawing at the end of the season.
The promotion pairs with Worthington’s Holiday Open Houses and Winter Wonderland events, creating a festive downtown atmosphere with family activities and in-store fun. It’s a joyful way to support local retailers while celebrating the holiday spirit!
