Some winter evenings in Worthington are meant for curling up at home…

That’s exactly what I found at Forbidden Barrel Brewing this week.
I stopped in on one of those nights when the wind cuts right through your jacket—prime time to find a cozy spot. Their newly posted winter hours make it easy to pop in midweek, and honestly, the place feels built for this season.
Before I went, I had checked out their Facebook page and noticed they’ve been adding some fun winter happenings. Sunday brunch-style specials, comfort food pairings, and best of all—their winter trivia nights. If you haven’t been, trivia at Forbidden Barrel is the perfect blend of friendly competition and easygoing fun. You don’t have to be a genius… just ready to laugh when your team confidently yells the wrong answer.
It’s the kind of night that warms you up from the inside out—good drinks, good company, and a little brain-stretching to keep you sharp until spring.
What I really love, though, is that Forbidden Barrel is just one of several places in Worthington creating winter game-night energy. Trivia here, board games there, craft nights, seasonal socials—you can feel the community leaning into the cozy side of winter instead of hiding from it.
