"We are honored to serve communities with rich diversity. As part of our ongoing commitment to serve and provide equitable opportunities for all, we must recognize and be ever cognizant of the disparities imposed upon Black and Indigenous People and People of Color and the debilitating effects these communities have faced as a result of a history of oppression, structural racism, and ethnic discrimination. As a chapter of the United Way, we denounce all forms of racial/ethnic discrimination and any oppression that intentionally or inadvertently marginalizes a population of people.

As part of this ongoing work, we will: Undergo continuous Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) training; Review grant applications with consideration of equitable outcomes; and continuously seek a board of directors composed of members representative of the communities in which we are all committed to serve."
